View Full Version : Little bit of downtime

Nothing to worry about, just a little bit of routine work on the forum software.

I can't give an exact time for the downtime, it'll be sometime someday and for some length of time.

I've some prep work to get on with beforehand.

I'll try to keep it to outside busy times :)

those with mega observation powers will notice that the little numbers at the very bottom have changed, there's a bigger leap to take, but that takes a lot more time to do as the style will probably need completely redoing within the new vbulletin framework.

We are now at the latest release of 3, it officially goes EOL at midnight so we got it sorted, wanted to make the move from 4 from the highest value of 3.
The leap to 4 is more complex, I have to merge itrader, and post thanks data into new plugin modules without destroying the vb3 methods, not to mention the massive change in the way templates and styles are handled.

It keeps me occupied

jaffa cakes, ginger nuts, ale and coffee

I've not made any firm plans on the upgrade, it has been discussed many times though and a sorta plan constructed.

And no, I haven't raised any invoices for what I do on the Aria forums.
