Any one got any ideas for this build (when i have the money) if they think its a fairly well rounded system or not

When you are ready the graphics card market whill be a little clearer, so a 4850/9800gtx+ may be within your range by then

Hello again! Yeah i have realised that, im hoping that the 9800gx2 will be in my range by then :P

Its gonna take me about 3 months to save now...

Although, i think i may go insane by then

I'd double up on the hard drive and put them in raid 0/1 (either for performance, or the easiest backups ever)

Raid 1 isn't a back up, if you delete or change a file you have no back up. It is just a way of keeping files that have not been backed up a little safer.

its a anti hardware failure mechanism ;)

i would still stripe 2 drives for os/app and have 1 big drive for data/storage.

use 2 of

for you c drive and keep the 1tb f1 for all your data.
