Monitor of Graphics?

I came back from a weeks holiday to find a black, what looks like a line or crack, on my screen. The monitor isn't cracked when you touch it. I tried to take a screenshot to show it but it wouldn't show up on the screenshot.

This leads me to think it's the monitor, but I'm still unsure. Any help would be much appreciated.

Is it at all resolutions? IE does it show in the bios?

Yeah it is at all resolutions.

I think you could be right Lynx, who would do such a thing.

Defo a monitor issue, just ran my finger over it and it started changing colour.

Been looking for an excuse to get a new monitor, but I'm totally skint, so I'll have to make do for the time being.

17". Yeah it is most probably cracked internally.
