Great pc, only thing I would suggest is a second CD/DVD drive.

Why the bluray reads and writes dvd/cd as well?

Two disc drives comes in very handy for me personally, inparticular if you always have a certain game in one disc drive, leaving the other to install/Cd/DVD/Games/Burn etc

if you purchased this you would be able to customize this with another DVD/RW for about an extra ฃ10 if you needed

family PC - all rounder, and this is a nice all rounder, can play games, not top end kit, but I'd bet most games would fly on this rig.

Storage for family photos, a decent operating system, the only thing missing in my opinion is home edition of MS office, that would make it a real family machine.

Swap the SSD for office methinks. Average family have no need for an SSD but either way, very very nice.

So, are you encouraging people to flash the 6950 BIOS to a 6970?

This is a trojan horse, right?

Tell the other half that it's a family pc to help justify the purchase...a much easier sell than a gaming pc ;)

For the money that's a fantastic bundle.

I'd stick with the SSD personally.

It's currently possible to buy MS Office 2010 Student Professional Plus for approx. ฃ40 as part of one of these subsidised MS deals (won't link to it in case Aria sell something similar). To qualify you either need to be a student or have a kid currently at school, which I guess most families will.
