People asked so I deliver! Heres a look at my new bike, Ive been getting parts for it since way back last year and first started putting it together in November! But with everything thats been going on it got forgotten, but then the sun decided to come out and I had the urge to get it all done and dusted! I wanted this one to shout loud so hence the lairy frame, and rather than team it with black like the Marin I thought Id go for white for that extra bit of ego eyecatching!

Its a (Candy near as dammit) Green 2010 Orange Crush, Fox32 Talas RLC forks, Hayes Stroker Brakes from my Marin, Custom White Discs, FSA MegaExo Moto-X white Cranks, Premium White thin cage pedals, E-thirteen chain guide, SLX 10speed rear mech & cassette with XT Shifter, Easton Havoc stem, Spank Lounge Bar handlebars, Funn Xlr8tor wheelset with white Funn hubs

Ive still got the Marin, this is just a tarty summer bling machine!

Heres some pics:

TBF they are pretty bland! Ill post up my old stinky, 225MM floating rotors and 6pot Calipers! Oh the memories of DH racing!

Looks lovely mate. Loving the little touches like the green rotor and (I think, bit hard to tell) crank bolts.

Have you ridden it enough to get a feel for the 1x10 setup? I'm tempted to go the same route on the Hectik (well, 1x9) but obviously it'll weigh a bit more and I dont think i'll last very long after 4 months of not riding. :p

Not ridden it much yet tbh, but 10x1 is just meant to give you a better range, 4th to 5th on the marin is a big change, and if you stop gunning it you do find yourself changing loads.

If Im honest I just went 10speed because its new and to give it a crack, youll soon know if its any good because Ill upgrade the marin!

Nice bike, but it seems to be missing an engine ? never mind, sure you will get round to it :D

Are they sponsorship stickers on there, did you get some help buying the parts ?

Very nice job either way, great looking machine.

The standard of finish on the welded joints could have been better, considering; have they not heard of angle grinders and disc sanders? I'm presuming it's an alloy frame, so if it's TIG welding, it could have been a lot neater.

Just the standard Orange decals I can see? But bike companies are like PC hardware companies, you usually always get a nice sticker in the box.:p

Smoothed welds are normally the reserve of very expensive frames and even then it's only the very visible ones that get done. My EX8 had smoothed welds around the headtube junctions and the rest were normal... Personally I think a good weld looks better than a smoothed one, especially if they are done by hand, the welds on my Devinci frame are faultless.:thumb:
