View Full Version : Lowest Ram Footprint
Who can get the smallest ram footprint? I got mine down to 14% of 2GB on vista Ultimate, Preferably can this footprint be done on vista machines, but xp ones can have a seperate table. Every time i get down that low i end the process init.exe or similar causing shutdown, avoid ending that lol. All you need is a screenshot of task manager showing the cpu usage, the ram usage etc.
(will post my score after i managed to stop crashing pc.)
i think best i did on xp was boot up on 114mb but i havent tweaked vista propperly yet.
I mean by shutting down processes inside vista.
Are you doing a percentage of your ram that is used, or amount of mb (or gb ;) ) used?
same end result m8, only i stop mine in servises then i dont have to bother with task manager.

Im still using xp...Although I actually dont monitor this stuff at all lol.I should probably start because I usually wait till my computer becomes very slow, then say to myself ".....oh ive got 5000 programs opening at the same time LOL im so silly"......meh
Amount in MB, considering that otherwise 4GB beats 2GB every time.
i currently boot with 30% of 4gb but i will fix that soon.

Well, in that case, I'm going to stick my vista HD in something with 32mb ram and have a 32mb footprint.. ;)
You didnt say anything about it having to actually run...
Well fine, it has to load up/run.

Well fine, it has to load up/run.
It should also not be about to restart because you killed a service that is required for running.
Haha i got to that stage 3 times XD

Here are my figures.
Total Ram = 1013MB
Available Ram = 855MB
Used Ram = 158MB
~ 15.6% of 1013MB
