Is this a decent bike? bought it last year for £80 quid haha.

Hoping to start riding it again as the weathers nice. Front wheel is buckled though I had a bump on it. Any ideas how much I'd be looking at to get it fixed?

Think it's this model:

They were on there when I bought it. I used to cycle to college everyday on it down a very muddy dirt track lol

Compare it to my bike. Yours is clearly better because it has lights and mudguards :thumb:

EDIT: Oh and more than 1 gear :)

no it looks good for £80, tyres/wheels too thin for much technical offroad - but commuting looks like a bargain!

NIFTY IS THAT AN ABANDONED NUCLEAR FALLOUT BUILDING?:lol:

ps. its also common practice to remove ALL mudgaurds, reflectors, spokydokeys, bells etc as soon as you get a new bike.

I've buckled my front wheel. :( Any idea how much I'd be looking at to get it repaired/replaced? :cry

YES!!! I live there, people tell me it's just a regular house but they are wrong!

Anyway Josh, your bike looks like a pretty standard commuting bike. Nothing wrong with it really, most common kind of bike I see.

For nightime riding you are required by law to have reflectors and lights :cop:

You know there's a guy in Aria cserv who fixes bikes? Chris. PM him :thumb:

i dont endorse the reflective stripping for commute riding, but for off road trecking through the forests reflector removal is a rite of passage (also good shin ripping pedals dont have reflector strips)

thats also compulsory too - replace pedals with shin rippers.

Ridgeback make pretty decent frames. Cant go wrong with hydroformed 6061 aluminum. :thumb:

Get some Muc-Off and brushes and give it a clean though. :p

I will indeed. Need to get the bloody wheel sorted first though :D

buckled my wheel on my LandRover mountain bike, one loose spoke replaced and good as new.

Shop charged me a tenner, which I didn't think was bad, mainly because I was expecting the £85 new wheel response

Happy to go with the lights but the reflectors aren't going to happen.

Mind, everyone thinks that no one will do anything about it, I once saw a traffic cops episode in Brighton (local!), and there was this drunk guy on a bike, no lights, and he jumped a red light!
They stopped him, he was having none of it "haven't you got anything better to do?", they basically said no, here is three fixed penalty notices for your offenses, riding under influence, skipping red light, no bike lights. He refused to take them, took it to court. Lost the case, ended up paying £800 in court charges, plus the penalty notices. Owned!
