View Full Version : Thermaltake novelties...
The Inq have some snaps of Thermaltake hardware (http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2008/06/10/thermaltake-rotation-class) being shown off at Computex 2008.
The cooling rig looks 'cool'. The active Memory 'Fan Orb' thingy looks amusing. And the 'Rotation' cooler looks AWESOME!
And then the media centre looks like a microwave.
I really wanna see the performance of the phase change cooler might even save up the pennies and buy one :D
i swear i had nightmares about those cpu coolers as a kid.

They do look a little twisted and visceral dont they?
Phase change looks awesome for cooling, I'll bet it's not so awsome for the electric bill, nor the environment.
Mmmm that looks like a pretty weak phase change unit. I see a small compressor, narrow piping and what appears to be a waterblock rather than a phase change head unit? I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole personally. I realise it isn't sold here but I'd take an OCZ Cryo-Z over one of those any day of the week if I had to choose between a budget one.
Cooler looks funky though. Interested to see what becomes of that.
Thermaltake's a funny one. They've made a number of shoddy cases but they also have a couple of good ones. Their PSU's were originally terrible but their Toughpowers have proved us wrong. Their watercooling....enough said the better.

I agree my Thermalrock eclipse imho is a nice case, just a little cramped for modern graphics cards
