View Full Version : STOP 0X50 error!!!!

i have just built a new pc and as i install xp on it, it comes up with the stop 0x50, i have replaced my hard drives and memory and it still comes up!
i ran a mem test on my new memory and it came up with 5120 errors, i then put some other memory in which didnt have any errors, i then tried to install xp but the error meesage still came up, its doing my head in now, can any one please help?

my system spcs are:

Intel Core 2 Quad Core Q9300 2.5GHz


Asrock PENRYN1600SLI-110DB 650i Sli

MSI GeForce 9600GT 512MB Overclocked PCI-E

OCZ 4GB PC2-6400 ReaperX HPC Enhanced Bandwidth (2x2GB)

using 500gb samsung sata drive aswell!!!

any kind of help would be great!!!!

have you set the voltage and timings right for the ram in the bios?

edit

ocz website is down but i think those should be 4-4-4-15 2t 2.1v

yeah changed the settings but still having the smae problems!

try 5-5-5-15/18 as it seems the cas4 is only for 680i motherboards.

edit

only other thing i can think of is to increase the northbridge voltage a bit and see if its the mem controller causing the errors.

cheers will try that, tried 5-3-3-12 and 15 last night but no joy!

thats the eep which they also say is only available on 680i boards with the sli ram feature.


a gpu wont cause ram errors, it could be your nb is getting over stressed and needs more power tho.

tried the 5-5-5-15 2.1v, then 4-4-3-12 @ 2.1v, and still nothing, just getting a blue screen now, no error code coming up, any suggestions!!! cheers!!!
