View Full Version : IE 8 goodness
Due to my works website's having major compatibility issues with internet explorer, I came to the conclusion that the best way to tackle it would be for a full front end re-write.
Simple enough right?
Almost there, I'm at the point of 'oh wow! this is going well for a days work, it works in ie6, 7, firefox 3.x, firefox 4 beta, and google chrome. I'l just go update internet explorer and have a look....' and how it's like 'ARGGGHHH!!! I hate you!'.

The background color on the content area is 'lost' for some reason.
Does anyone have any ideas? It's a new one for me :chairfall:

What colour is it supposed to be?
White,

I've sorted it now by positioning the white box relative. It's a known bug in CSS3PIE.
What language is that on your start button :S. Does it work for IE 9?
It looks like Danish maybe?
Not my pcs :D i used browsershots.org
I haven't downloaded ie9 but the screenshot looking like the information link (top right) aren't there.... lol. other than that, all good.

Ahh ok I was thinking lol. As for the colours I can't see your source code since the webpage does not load up :S. Are you use hex codes? Have you tried different shades or the web safe colours to see if it makes a difference?
out of office hours, lol. it's only the dev server.
I just wrote 'white' simply because i couldn't remember anything else at the time, still, not bad for a days work.
Anyway, as mentioned, it was a bug a css3pie and i just needed to set its position to relative.

Can I say something about the design of the logo?

Been the company logo for the past 16 years, the boss doesn't want to change.
Edit - Having a bad one today lol
