I'm 64 years old and love computers. Also Wii, X-Box, and PS3. I'm not trying to prove anything, I simply like all these things through my children and grandchildren. My problem is ............. I don't really know what makes them tick. So !! Could someone tell me please, will my system take any ATX power supply, and do they all fit with AMD Mb's?
My board is designed for AMD Athlon 64/FX processors, and has 4Gb ram, PCI express X16, plus all the normal PCI-Floopy-HDD-DVD connections.
Hope this isn't gibberish.
Thanx

I should imagine any ATX 2.0 or better Power Supply Unit should serve fine. What we need to know though is whether the setup is custom built or by a brand like Dell, HP etc.

The board is an MSI Neo4 Platinum, BUT may me an OEM version.

Is a socket 939, takes DDR400 to max of 4x4Gb so a normal ATX PSU should be fine.

Evesham mostly use retail components and if I recall correctly they did indeed use the fully fledged retail Neo4 Platinum, not a stripped down OEM version. Nice machine. Any ATX 2.0 and higher PSU should serve fine
