loL@ the twin auto shotties.
hey we shouldnt bash them, they are great value for money :)
I have a HD 3850 at 810 core and 2100 ram, just needs more voltage, you cant knock a card that cost £80 delivered.
Exactly!
Nvidia fanboys hay
im a my wallet fanboi, when i got my card the closest ati card was a 2900xt which cost more and performed worse. if i was buying 1 today (not that i would with the cards about to be released but...) i would probably get yours or a cheap 1 to tide me over like i did a while back just before the 8800s came out. i got a 76gt then btw coz the 1600xtx was pants.
I do see the humour
But on a serious note ATi make fine cards indeed, not forgetting that the 9800XT nailed the FX 5950, the X800XTPE edged a bit above the capabilities of the 6800 Ultra, where the gap extended a little further with the release of the X850XTPE. The X1800XT might've been late to market but it was faster than the 7800GTX 256mb and nV had to respond with a high yield version of the core making the 512mb version and ATi edged ahead once again with the 7900GTX.
It's only really this generation where they lost pace. The HD 2900XT was a huge disappointment and the HD 3850/3870 was everything the 2900 should've been.
Looks like they're back on track now in terms of meeting deadlines. Don't expect the Radeon HD 4800's to beat the GTX 260/280 but they should be quite a lot cheaper.
