Hey guys.

I am new here, just recieved my first order from aria today so Im well happy, even if it was at 10am.

Heres a song of mine to show you what stuff I usually make. If you don't like 80s hard rock, then dont expect anything from this

its a prototype, not finished and no vocals yet.

You will have to say when its fin with vocals as it would make it a lot better.

Very nice indeed. Reminds me of Bullet For My Valentine's Tears Don't Fall riff at the beginning. Got a band of yours or do you play drums, bass, rhythm/lead guitar and then put it together with software?

Interested though as I'm a nosy sod when it comes to music. What kit have you got?

But yeah, very good. Looking forward to hearing the vocals as well.

first time I've heard this song as sounding like a bullet song lol, I thought it was quite 80s hard rock myself.

I do have a band and we perform these songs, but the recordings are all done by me right now. Drum kit is a Tama wth remo skins but I dont use it, instead I program drums for now, recording drums to make sound professional requires microphones of high quality, and a drummer of even higher. Right now I have the capabilities to do so but I prefer this way since its much quicker and dont have to worry about any mistakes.

I use my Gibson les paul, a Cort bass, and Studio pedals and software for amps. Again I prefer digital over real because it gives a professional finish and is much quicker, although I do have a JCM 800.

As much as I hate this fact, digital is the new world.

At Christmas I made a Metal cover of the theme tune to Age of Empires 2, just wonderin if i should post it here or the game section lol

Oh yeah, never suggested it actually sounded like bullet genre wise. Just the riff. Might just be me being a bit of a tard today. :D

Nice kit. I started playing guitar about 18 months ago and I've got a Jackson JS30RR and a Line6 Spider III amp. Getting a bit better and I'm looking to get some nicer strings which don't rattle as much in Drop tuning and maybe some new pickups.

Post the Metal cover here. Sounds like something I might like

Here you are my metal friend

Great first buy mate, and amp! Good to see not only me going digital :D. Drop tuning on a jackson? try guage 11 - 12. if the guitar you have bought is the one for you then 11 good for drop D and D tuning and 12 good for C lol. Does it look like some sort of flying V?

Liking the cover.

Yeah it is indeed a flying v. Bit of a pain not being able to sit down with it but I can live with that. Only real gripe is the lack of a whammy bar. 12 guage it is then. I tend to play in Drop C or D Standard mostly. Will 12 guage be a bit too strained if I ever happen to want to tune up to Drop D at times or even standard? Perhaps in that case 11 is a better compromise.

Well I was using a 12 at E on my gibson les paul hehe. Huuuuuge sustain. Dont think about soloing too much though. I would get 11 since its between. You can still tune down to C with 11. Wammy bar for the win! Unless your thinking of being the next best rhythm guitarist, then wammy bar for the lose, without it you get much nicer sustain and tuning. Also another good thing about not having a wammy bar is you dont have to worry about how long it takes to tune up. You will get soooo anoyed sometimes lol... By the way I'm talking about tremelo systems, not the silly thing you find on strats. Jackson's use the Ibanez floyed rose I believe, and those type of tremelo systems have an equilibrium, meaning you must go over tuning every string a million times before its in tune. But when it goes in tune it will stay there for a very long time.
.. unless your really crazy.

Ah right. I suppose the whammy bar's more for the novelty of having one as to tell the truth I play a lot more rhythm than lead (also due to my level of skill at present). 11 Gauge it is

For rhythm I say you have a good buy. I'm not a fan of flying V's because it can be uncomfortable at times, and also you cant sit down, although I did come across a flying V that had an arm that could extend to act like a support so you can sit down. That was pretty sick.

Whats your band called?

well as a Metal band we are called Myr-Midon. as a more marketable band we have another name that we are yet to make. We are also most likely to change the metal name as well to something more rememberable. If we lived in Greece or Cyprus it wouldnt have been a problem.
