Hey guys heres my Cosmos S case that Ive modded heavily:
So for starters what you can see on the outside is Full white Exterior plastics painted in Gloss white Everything was Also painted by Me Apart from the Powder coating that was done by a local powder coater firm £30 Cant go wrong
With Re painted Red "S" on the Cosmos S Logo
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5300/5515344639_bd5e6ffbe9.jpg
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5256/5515937070_e197b5f915.jpg
Here is the freshly powder coated internal of the case all the fan grills have been filled with White Arctic cooling White on Black shrouds Brilliant little fans for the moneys
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5011/5515350751_0b9c930c90.jpg
the top end of the case isnt too bad although with the sliding action of the USB cover has damaged some of the paint but nothing too bad that i can go back over
i also have re sprayed all the grills a Deeper non gloss black
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5258/5515940058_f0ef795de9.jpg
So moving into the internal
here is the mock up of all the components and just making sure theres enough clearance for the Graphics cards and so on , as you can see the Rad config people would say was overkill, and well it is , but if you've got the rads might as well use them right lol
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5295/5515922746_609fcac2dc.jpg
So up top we've got an XSPC RS360 and on the bottom ive got some unknown pretty old 120.1 Rad It just clears the side as i thought there was a little too much over hang but seems to be fine
So the CPU cooler is a XSPC RASA in black which suits the case well if i had the time and the paint id take it apart and paint the outside of the block the brackets white to go along with the case
the Pump is a XSPC 750 Dual res bay combo Tubing is 1/2" ID if i did another build id use alot smaller tubing in this case to free up some space
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5295/5515922746_609fcac2dc.jpg
heres with everything all plugged up as well as im missing 1 GFX card but thats now installed
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5100/5515933136_766b6d024a.jpg
So far so good , Will update with some more photos later had to use Gilgamesh's camera to take some pro high quality shots
But this for now is a complete project with no thoughts of changing
So whats the overall specs:

haha too right just waiting for things to bed it and away we go although im a noob to over-clocking tried before with a few walk through but couldn't get the ram to its full potential as thats what im aiming for so i can reduce the CPU to GPU bottle neck
But its the ram that limiting me with having so much of it lol 8GB at 4X2 GB sticks
sexiest version of that case i've seen, nice job :thumb:
Thanks BRO ! =)
theres a step by step oc guide in this months custom pc i cant comment as to how good it is as i have no experience in this area but looks pretty good
Super sexy case there mate, always loved the cosmos & this looks even better now.

Thanks guys although haveing some problems with the mobo at current :(
Seems its either my cards that are buggerd or the PCIE lanes as when i leave the pc running for 1 hr or so it just locks up and no response and get a static clip from the motherboard :(
That case looks so amazing
U should alert Coolermaster about it, and see if they say anything :).
Saw this guy on YouTube (trubyd44) that modded the hell outta a corsair 700d and told corsair bout it. Not sure wat they did with him tho

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2513/5816107161_62966f718e.jpg
What i would like ou opinions on is the cable management im obv looking for clean so any ideas or tips hit me up,
Ive got a cable modding kit comeing in white what i plan on doing is Modding the 24-24 Pin White and black and maybe putting the Satas to white But whats your take on it wha else should i look at modding , Dont realy want to do it to the Sata power bt i would do it to the GPU power lines , and would you advise i doit for the full lengthor part of the way of both ends , or just the top end ?

Does i look messy to you and if so what would you advise i do,
Heres the front , ive now taken the front facia pannle off and replaced with the normal front mesh that follows the degsine of the case

I agree with this.
Also take some pics without the flash so we can have a decent view of stuff.
Take the case outside if you need to to get good light. And don't make the crap camera excuse lol, you can take great photos with a crap camera honest :)

I think use intel burn test instead.
ALL ram tested, do 5 runs to check basic stability then when you struggle to pass 5 runs and you're happy that you've hit you max overclock set it to 50 runs with all ram tested to check absolute stability.
Takes a quater of the time prime95 doesto check stability, prime95 takes too long.

Also the cable management was a challenge in the case , although there are many holes for the cables to go through just not enough space between the Rear panel and the mobo tray
so here's my best attempt and now the back panel is secure

So yeah enjoy
Pictures look good but do them under natural lighting and ditch the flash and they'll be a million times better. I personally never use flash, just the natural daylight coming through my window (at certain times of the day only though :()
The depth of field and white balance in your pics look good :)
Scroll down to the bottom of the page in this link and read Nils' quick tips. It's pretty much all you need to know to get started with taking better pics:
http://www.million-dollar-pc.com/
(http://www.million-dollar-pc.com/)p.s. None of the photos I've done in my log so far have been with a nice DSLR, just a panasonic bridge camera (occasionally my phone, ignore those crap ones ;)), a bit of reading and practice, and lovely daylight :D
SilveR_172
31-10-11, 16:34
yeah well when it snows I had a good idea to take them outside but we'll see as I don't want to get it wet :-) plus there would be natural light , I did try a white sheet to bounce light off but didn't have the desired effect
May sound strange but the absolute best weather is full cloud coverage during the daytime. Next time the weather is like that have a look outside and see if you can see any distinct shadows under anything, you can't, so it's perfect :D Harsh shadows is what you want to avoid with product photography (essentially what taking pics of computers is) which is a reason why flash is bad.
So yea, next time the weather is cloudy (and dry ;)) take your white sheet outside and set up your 'studio' :) It's probably what I'll be doing with my build once it's done, although I may use a black sheet as my build is white ;)
SilveR_172
31-10-11, 23:11
ahh cool thanks ill try that one , think id have to tidy the "Studio" // garden up a little before i try it :P
The build is very nice indeed, but I can't help thinking that the back of the case is crying out for a cover
Maybe it's just me..
But yea, the pics are good -Can't really offer any advice of my own as I need to get myself a decent camera at some point as well..
My little HTC just doesn't do my rig (and its builder) any justice at all :(

There's a lot I would change tbh...
Here's a few of my old builds in the Cosmos S's that I've owned...

http://i408.photobucket.com/albums/pp166/almighty151986/My Computer Pictures/CIMG1806.jpg
Cable routing in this case is easy...
I cut the case power plug off the end of the supplied 24pin ATX adaptor and soldered it on the braided 24pin ATX cable you can see in the pictures, You have 2x 24pin adaptors which is not needed with a bit of soldering.
I also reversed the HDD's mounting to hide even more cables.
Get a XSPC Laing DDC reservoir pump top or a drive bay res top for the pump and move it to a more hidden location.

Right just ripped it apart to go in my new i7-920
Going to make a New Pump stand And a Drive bay cover , a little but like the MDPC murder Box , so you can see any more drive Screws or Release mechanisms , so should in theory look quite nice ,
Orderd
Some more white anti kink so it a little lighter loops , and some white clamps ,for the hose, and some new Perfect seal barbs .
was thinking of buying white tubing but put it off as a bad idea , going to get the new panels powder coated as well as the Rasa Block to white , so should be a nice white balance going on in there now rather than all just black , i think in the summer i might have a blast at re spraying the case , im not too sure though ,
Also making a PSu cover to hide all the Wires , the only wires i want to see are the 24Pin and PCI-E and EPS
