With the paint barely dry on the X48 chipset - and P45 just around the corner - the first leaked details of Intel's next-gen X58 architecture (http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=13268) are starting to hit the web. Set to overtake current X and P-based chipsets on the enthusiast/high-end in the very last part of 2008, X58 will be the first to support Intel's upcoming Socket 1366 quad-core Bloomfield enthusiast-grade CPU's - which, according to rumor, will be the only overclockable CPU's in Intel's stable. We can expect X58 to sport four PCI-E x16 2.0 expansion slots - capable of either dual x16 or quad x8 configurations, triple-channel DDR3 support, and the ICH10 Southbridge.
