Well as a long time fan of HTC (I am on my 2nd HTC manufactured smart phone) I think it looks ok, the 640x480 screen is an improvement,

Now lets have the slide out keyboard version please....

It looks great!

No chance on vodafone giving me it on an upgrade though:sad:

If they are anything like O2 then they will require either a huge monthly payment or a large payment upfront.

I am on £25 a month and paid £175 for my XDA... :(

Looking good. I'll keep a watch on how that unit performs as so far all the others are quite awful as iPhone competitors. Particularly in terms of operating system response times and the response of the touch screen / interface itself.

I'm due for an upgrade actually. I've got an Orange SPV C550 and wanted a similar type of smart phone. I noticed the SPV E650 a year ago but they seem to have got rid of it with no similar replacement.

I have an XDA Trion (HTC Tytn), which has about a year left on the contract, The XDA Stella (HTC Tytn 2) looks ok, but compared to the other two HTC phones ( the other was a Mini S, Htc Wizard) the keyboard opens the opposite way.

The Trion was a great imporvement on the Mini S probably due to the processor being twice as fast. But it is difficult to tell as one is a TI Omap 850 @ 200Mhz the other is A Samsung at 400Mhz

Yeah. It was either the SPV C600 that fell out of my pocket during an expedition or the C550 that has the Omap 850 chip in (possibly both). Seems relatively nippy.

Anyway I don't really think I'll get anything special this time round because I want to step my contract down to a £15-20 a month. That being said, I'm sure even basic phones today do what I need (organiser that syncs with pc and web access). Not all that big on the phone scene.

Me neither, But... I use tomtom sat nav, and have done since version 3 on my ipaq 2210, so it would mean carrying the Ipaq again...

It looks a nice phone. But I have had the Orange M700 for the last 18months after owning a c600 and e650. It runs everythig. Tom tom, Cameraware, Memory map, GPS tuner. Voice activated programs and software with microsoft voice. I can't really find anything now that makes me feel like upgrading. The HTC diamond would be in the running though if I was. But there is no guarantee that this would run all the software I am using as it uses a slightly different OS. I think that my m700 may have a larger screen as well?

I wanted an E650 last month but I think it was discontinued. Got a Nokia 6500 Slide instead. It's my first non Windows Mobile based phone in three years

How does it compare to a windows mobile! Are you happy with the change?
