Well I would hope so,

For home users it shouldn't be an issue though. I am still gona install it on the wife's PC (the only one running XP now)

thats all i would do. set a restore point and go for it. i ran rc2 for ages with no ill effects other than it slowing the boot up, it did improve it in other areas.

the only test i did was moving 12gb from 1 drive to another, vista sp1 took 13min
xp sp2 took 12 and sp3rc2 took just over 10. that was with everything else identicle.

i mate of mine stuck rc2 on his mums old laptop and it was like new again and that is a p.o.s.
