Well it's not called 3d mark 08 it's called 3d mark Vantage.
Now the bad news, you can only run it once... unless you buy it!
Requires Vista and DX10

Oh it's 450Mb ish
should be interesting to see how many machines it owns!
You could uninstall then reinstall with the run once thing
yep, im sure a quick reg clean/edit will get it running as many times as you want.
gamershell is a quicker dl if your interested :D

Nope - just tried it and you have to get a serial number and stay connected to the internet whilst it runs...
If you've got millions of email addresses, then you can run it more than once - but I wouldn't bother - it's a bit ***.

I had to do the same when i reviewed my 8800GT used 2 email addresses ;)
Cmon its about £4 for the basic edition i am sure you can afford that, its barely the cost of a pint these days.
its the more the guise of futuremark trying to cash in, I wouldn't buy it on principle.
Be interesting to start a 3dmark08 scoreboard though, see how we all compare lol
In the end, i dont need a program telling me my pc is not as good as everyone elses...
£4 a pint :O where do you go drinking :D

Perhaps the charge is to recover some of the $5 Million it cost to develop

£4 is nothing to ask these days and yes i bet it cost alot to develope, i'll certainly be investing soon, got a few other things to do to my pc first like a reinstall, once thats out of the way i'll be trying it out.
