Hi

I'm going to be mega cheeky but if you don't ask...

I'm trying to create a forklift training material company and desperately need as many photos as possible of various forklifts.

I've seen the photos on here and most are excellent and very professional. I'm in no way an 'amateur photographer' and would appreciate any help anyone can give.

Here's the snag, I can't pay for any. I have ZERO money and I'm setting a business up purely on disability money. I'm not asking you to go out of your way, just snap some photos of any forklifts that may cross your path either at work or wherever.

ANY truck will do, I can use them all, right down to the simple pallet truck.

I will give obviously give credit to the photo owner in the presentation/book. I just need your name please.

Thanks for reading and I know this is a long shot :)

ANYTHING mate.

8mp is a lot better than I can do and the photos will be in an A5 booklet, so relatively small.

Thanks very much for the offer I really do appreciate it :)

Forgot to add: Pics of trucks whilst operating are good as I make them a washed out background whilst I have text explaining what's happening in the foreground. Kinda arty too.

Obvious question maybe but have you searched google images?

A simple search for 'forklift' brings up many pages of photos.

I don't want any copyright infringements after I've printed 2000 of em lol. Everything so far is entirely my own work, gotta keep it that way!

I have thought about it though, many times! :D

Good advice.

And "free photos forklift" is also very productive.

However, there is a subtle difference between "free" and "royalty free". Some people want money for pictures that you can then use as you see fit.

But it seems that there must be something out there.

Here is my bog standard book, I'd like to refresh it a little.

Editing the photos is no problem as I'm a bit of a dab hand with Photoshop (kinda)

Ignore the naff website design, web design is not my forte, if you hadn't already guessed :D

What size forklift & what attachments do you need. I could get 2-70T lifing capacity with, sets of 2's, 4's, probes's, pulp & rotary.

Hi Mate
I am just watching video number 3 and whoever has shot that needs to shot the first 5 flt drivers. They are all using the wrong hand to drive with.

Technically, you can use whatever hand your most comfortable with. Being as you're not allowed to use the hydraulics whilst moving the truck, it doesn't matter :)

ANY photos you can get mate, I'll more than likely find a use for most of them.

Many thanks.

I LIKE IT! I cant fault the physics anywhere...

Bammy, I can make you one for free, I'd just want a itsy bitsy teeny weeny (yellow polka dot bikini) link on the page footer. Would you like me to sketch a few designs up?

Your very welcome to try but:

1, It's Google Sites.

2, You can only use their templates.

3. You can change the layout/colours/fonts of any templates.

4. There are loads of templates.

5. You can't upload any template or anything like that to it.

I can add you as an admin so you can change what you like, you just need a gmail account to do it. Have you got one? If you PM me it, I'll add you.

I don't mind having a banner to your site if you like.

Thanks

There are a few here:

http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Search&search=forklift

Wikimedia commons images are pretty unencumbered by copyright, I think you just need attributions which you could add to your manual somewhere. At any rate each image has a full explanation of associated copyright.

Test is a doddle mate, I can break it down for you if you like. I'll let you know what the big faults that peeps do regularly.

Who's the accrediting body? ITSSAR or RTITB?

Ha, ha, sorry mate not having a go, however if I drove like I did to pass my test 27 years ago I would be at work until midnight eveyday or worse still I would be out of a job. The test etc needs to be updated to reflect what happens in the real world.

That's why, nowadays, the certificate doesn't expire. For peeps that are operating them full time, ya can't teach them anything. Normally they're teaching me stuff lol.

The refreshers are mainly for people that use them casually, as and when needed.

The times I run people through the test before hand and to fail em, miserably, purely based on using the hydraulics whilst moving the truck (It's 5 points each time). I always said, "I don't care what you do when I'm gone, when I'm here, you do as I say" :D

Gawd I loved instructing!
