Other than match discussion, is there some way i can watch this without having to move from the PC as ITV's site isn't throwing up anything obvious. :/
Move your PC near to a TV?
http://www.tvcatchup.com/
you have to sign up but can stream pretty much all freeview channels
just logged in to check it works, it does and its only a 3 second delay from the telly, not bad!

Looking like it might live up to the hype this one :thumb:
Barca 1 - 0 ATM.
Arsenal have had three very good attempts to score but keep fluffing them.
Song is going to get sent off.

There's a live stream on STV's site just btw ;)
the 'second goal' was touch & go for me. May have been off, I'm not absolutely sure..
Edit: the replay with the line on seems pretty clear. Goal shoulda stood :)

Barca haven't won an away match in the Champions League knock out stages under Guardiola.
Lump all your money on a draw lads, free money.

Ofcourse.
I've got to go to the Nou Camp. Whether it's just a weekend away to see them play or whatever, I just love 'em!

Barca are on a different planet at times but arsenal have came back into it in the 2nd half. Can maybe get a draw or sneak a win ......

I love it. Fast paced goal-goal stuff.
that Arsenal goal was very nicely done, good game this one
A great game well done guy's.
I honestly thought that 2nd goal was going miles over, did really well to keep that down enough.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL @ barce

no need....result..
The best team in the world lost their first significant game of the season, away from home against one of the better opponents in the tournament. Funny stuff.
They are still the best team in the world ;)
We'll see what happens in the away leg :D
They lost because they sat back. Villa for Keita was a strange one.
whatever makes you feel better :)
Was a very good very even game, muchos enjoyos. look forward to the game at the nou camp.

I was just meaning that Barca are a great team , I never said i thought they would win !
Anyway what u doin reading fitba posts when u don't even bother about it? Lol
there's a fishy smell round here ............:p
PMSL.......
I thought by stating Barca were on another planet that meant you think that on any day they are on another planet they would/should beat them, but then by saying Arsenal might get a draw or a win that sort of covers all bases.
I.E. Barca are so good they cant fail but if they do Arsenal might get a draw or a win out of it......bases covered......I think so muhahahahhahahahaha.
As for the fishy smell......I'm gonna choke that Galloway goit for opening that fridge full of ancient fishy bits. Boom headshot on Matchoo with the airfreshener made up for it eh :D

Great football match! Barca looked absolutely stunning. I think the front men are prone to being bullied because they are only short lads. Bendtner? I mean really? How Song lasted until nearly 70 minutes I will never know. Poor goalkeeping from Barca beaten at his near post at that angle was just plain bad. Second goal he was obscured by two defenders, great work getting that ball across the box.
All in all should make for an AMAZING match in the second leg.

Not being biased or anything, as a Spurs fan, I thought Arsenal were fortunate in the first half but come through strong. If Wengerphile plays a more defensive formation next time, I think they will go through.

The last thing you want to do against Barca is sit back. The only reason why arsenal got anything from that game is that they kept a high line and didn't invite the pressure as much as if they'd have had 11 men behind the ball.
That's the sole reason why so many teams just don't get results against Barca. Playing defensive is certainly NOT the way to go :p
Well done Arsenal!
I have the feeling they will win at the Nou Camp as well.

At the Nou Camp it is. Any team that's ever won there defended deep, got lucky and played two holding midfielders.

I disagree. You sit back at the Nou Camp and you'll get outplayed.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, Barca are a great team?:p

Well if Arsenal try to play open and not defensive at the Camp Nou they will get slaughtered ...you have to be defensive at Camp Nou....
Just look a how Jose sets his team up against Barca when he was at chelsea and Inter..
He went away from his principles at real an got spanked.....
If Arsenal try the same game plan like they did last year there is only going to be one result

Inter from last year is the blueprint, UTD did the same in 2008. However, I don't think Arsenal are capable of 'parking the bus', they will try to play them but I can see Barca winning by at least 2 goals

Yep they are every poor defensively....their attacking strength mask their poor defence...just like barca..their defence is by no means the best either
The Barca centre half pair of Puyol and Pique is one of the best pairings in world football you only have to look at the trophies they have won

Pique has really developed into a great centre back. Are they available for this match ? I'm sure that I saw somewhere it would be a really dodgy make shift back 4 against Arsenal

Have you seen Arsenal's back four? They're poor, real poor. Jose tried to defend wisely at Real, look what happened. Play to your strengths I say.
Puyol should be back, Pique is suspended.
RVP and Walcott deffo out, Cesc still not sure if he'll make the game.

Its that barca back four that has won them so many titles its the fact that the front 6 keep the ball so well that the back four rarely get tested...so they makes them look way better that they are........

The opposition cant score if you keep the ball :D
as a defensive unit they are pretty solid the 2 centre half, alves at right back and the goalie dont know who the 1st choice left back is ??

Their defence is very solid with pique and puyol also European and world cup winners there must be a great understanding between them . And valdes is much improved over the last 3 or 4 years .
I think arsenal will struggle in the nou camp in the 2nd leg .....
I think everyone will go through bar Man U.
Abidal?

barca awesome
award for silliest red card given to the ref, in Europe I support all English clubs and I have to say at that point, the game was over for the gunners.
Worst red card ever  0 shots on target yet if Bendter controls that pass late on Arsenal could have gone through..
Barca are not bad at keeping the ball

I'd argue it was over before that. Nothing changed when Van Persie went off. It was a case of more of the same. IMHO ofcourse :)
Superb game.
Love watching Barca play. Some of their play around the box was amazing (although maybe not as clinical as they usually are).

Dani Alves made a few poor choices. He really is a brilliant outlet on the right. No options? Ping it there and he'll get on the end of it.

could someone please explain to me what that red card was for? was in the bar with a few mates watching it but as we couldn't hear the commentary we couldn't work out why he had been sent off.

He kicked the ball away after the ref blew the whistle. Apparently.

One of the worst red card decisions going, but that doesn't take anything away from the fact it could of and should of been about 6-1. Barcelona are just lucky they haven't come up against the mighty Crouchino yet. lool
LOL why do arsenal fans think they can win at Camp Nou.......
Great game, the sending off was a bit mad but wouldn't have made a difference, Barca were FAR superior before that.
I don't like to jump on the "best player/team ever" bandwagons but that Barca side must be pretty near to the best club side ever. The way they keep the ball is ridiculous, then the way they chase it down if they lose it. It all looks so simple yet so few teams can do it. Xavi, Iniesta and Messi are out of this world.
Just hope Utd can avoid them (IF they beat Marselle)
Messi is scarily good atm. There's not many players in the world anywhere near his level.
He keeps going the way he's going end the Pele or Maradona argument once and for all.

His stats for this season are:
40 games
45 goals
21 assists
Amazing, so in his 40 games his had a hand in 66 goals. So if you have Messi in the team you're guaranteed nearly 1.7 goals.
He's on another planet at the moment

Quarter of a billion for kicking around a leather sphere.. it's a mad world :P.
Buyout is £350 million atm.
Only Man City can pay that.
However Messi has said before he won't ever leave barcelona for any money as he had growth problems as a child and Barcelona paid for his treatment.
Its reported when he renegotiated his contract that he didn't want anymore money just to add more years onto his contract.

in my opinion by far the best footballer i have every seen.
Its his consistency i think that makes him the best in the world.
Been at the top of his game for last 3 years now.
Now Barcelona need to get Ronaldo there to really have the best team in the world.
In other news well done Spurs.
wait isn't gareth bale the worlds best? according to capello anyway

:chairfall: one season wonder :p bought by spurs as a left back played 20+ games at left back in the league never managed to win one, push forward by Spurs management to keep him away from the rest of the defenders.
Messi is up there in the all time top10 already, am lucky enough to have seen some world class players Zidane in that late 90s Juve team was superb. Fat Ronaldo getting a hattrick at Old trafford. The other Ronaldo in his last 2 seasons at Old trafford.
Bid for Messi made, I wonder how much ?
