have you tried safemode to see if it works there?
If not try to reinstall the driver.
Was this a fresh os install?

Have you tried this?
Right-click on a Youtube video
Choose 'Settings...' from the Flash Player's context
Uncheck "Enable Hardware Acceleration"
Click the "Close"

This should be set by default. it's actually using the card to do the work as opposed to the software. it also does this when running a blu ray drive.
Mines set by default which is why i would have thought yours would have been.

well i'm a bit pi$$ed off about that then. cos basically it means that i bought a graphics card and the pc wont use it for 3D acceleration!!
has anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening? although the full screen mode works the picture quality is rubbish.
thanks once again!

not sure mate
right, got an update. the pc has started crashing and restarting by itself. i've checked the problems and soltions and it says it happened due to VIDEO HARDWARE FAILURE.
the screen flashed BLACK, GREEN, BLUE, RED, WHITE AND YELLOW in sync for no reason after the restart.
has anyone got any ideas why this happened? keep in mind all parts are brand new and NOTHING has been overclocked.
blue tiger with G36c ;)
sounds like you might have a faulty card. Get it rma'd and go from there... I know it's a pain but trying all the usual stuffs not worked properly and now this it looks like you might have a duff card.
