Hi,

Was looking at these before Xmas but it seemed a bit sucky.

Now after some youtubing it appears there are performance packs and modded ROM's for it to make it work better.

It'll be used as a replacement for a ipod touch as i feel the screen is a little small.

Anyone used one?

Looking to buy one at the end of the month for £250.

Form the other upcoming Tegra 2 based tablets appearing in march none will be under £350.

my mate has one there pretty sweet.

The way it comes.... garbage..... updated ......its like a new device.

It runs so damb well after that. And flash is supported now, and the marketplace can be added properly if u root it .

Its a good processor and with any luck it will get a honeycomb upgrade :)

I've been keeping one eye on the tablet product announcements, I found another summary which is more UK focused: http://www.techradar.com/news/mobile-computing/portable-computing/15-best-android-tablets-in-the-world-905504 There is a review in there somewhere for the Advent Vega

Form the other upcoming Tegra 2 based tablets appearing in march none will be under £350.It's all looking rather disappointing isn't it :-1 10" ones are way more expensive than iPad

Motorola Xoom: anything from £720-£1300
LG Optimus: €999
Galaxy Tab 10.1: Vodaphone UK exclusive (so presumably also a stupid price)

Dell Streak 7 isn't winning any fans, Engadget think the Galaxy Tab is better http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/31/dell-streak-7-review/ The wifi only Galaxy Tab is available soon with MSRP of €500, so it may have a much lower street price than the 3G version (which is now £399 and 50% off it's MSRP)

I think I'm going to hold out for a while longer and see what happens with the pricing of the Asus, Acer, Toshiba and other versions...
