A little late build log xD

Right!

My build, well more of an upgrade!

3 weeks ago i started with a pc my anti gave to me:
Athlon 64 3200+
512 mb ram
180 gig hard drive
generic psu and case with stock heat sink (no case fans)
and a asus mobo + a dvd drive that didn't like to work

I started to give that a clean up, and upgraded it to 1.5 gig of ram and a modest over clock :)

I gave it a good clean out, replaced the thermal compound and did a total rebuild.
I was using that machine until Monday, which was when i built my pc :)

Also these bad boy's i have been using as the black ones behind it, broke a few days ago and they was 6 years old :O And those tiny speakers are older and are amazing considering there age xD anyway ill get back on topic :P

Heatsink:
I got the cooler master hyper 212+ and an extra fan which i had to perform a slight mod for, which was to cut and add, rubber pads to the corner's on the fan.

(I remember being told not to use 2 different fans, but i have got them to run at the same speed, and will be getting a new case in the near future and i will make sure to get 2 good fans for this plus a pwm splitter )

Ram:
Bog standard 8 gigs (4x2gb sticks) worth of ddr3 corsair xms 3 @ 1600 mhz :P

and thanks alot josh, im over the moon with it, such an improvement, ive not used my laptop or the athlon setup since i built it :)

and i feel like a sever is on its way ;) well upgrade to the p4 file sever which just died when doing benchmarks :'(
