I will be sticking to my q6600 for now, maybe something new next year...
yeah i am having secong thoughts now as they don't seem to be the overclocking monsters people had hoped, the gains over a similarly clocked q6600 aren't worth the upgrade imho.

well i'm glad i held off my build till now sure the Q6600 is good but considering its a new 45nm chip at 3.7ghz
that jumped from a amd sempron 2.1ghz single core chip to a quad 3.7ghz chip, it's going to be running at worp speed

assuming that yours in your choice of board will be able to do that!
Its always safer to run a little slower save burning out the chip.
i run my q6600 @ 3.6 24/7 so a 9450 wouldn't be a massive step up if running @ 3.7 definately not worth the £100 or so for the upgrade.
but going from an XP2400+ to a Q9450 would be worth it.. ;) :D
Hmm i dunno that XP2400 is a beast of a cpu ;)
It was great in its day... its just that day was a long time ago...
