Very true, personally I cant see that a second card will gain much of a benefit. SLi is a little over hyped, so quad will just be worse...

A little over hyped? Imho sli is pointless UNLESS you are running a 30" monitor @ 2560x1600 resolution and want to play the very latest games at max res and detail. In which case you probably hav more money then you know what to do with so why not go to stupid extremes and splash out £800 or so on dual GX2's for an extra 2 or 3 fps.

Can't argue. I have just gone from a 6800gt to an 8800Gt and I can now run the games I own, ie NFS Underground 1 and 2 at 1280x1024 (native on my 17" Lcd) with everything turned on, and boy is it quick, might even install fraps to see the FPS!
