Anyone gonna be watching tomorrow?

Gonna be between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers. Will be available on iplayer (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00yf5kq/American_Football_2010_11_Super_Bowl_Live/) the next day too if for some strange reason you can't stay up until 4am...

I'll be attempting to stay awake to watch it.

I have watched it most years for about the last twenty.

Got the day off on Monday to catch up on my sleep ;)

I generally find if you survive until the end of the half time show without nodding off you'll make it the whole way to the end of the game.

I stayed up to watch it, the half time show was a nice spectacle, if only they had a band that could sing live rather than shout some lyrics :(

Steelers were in with a shout of one of the biggest comebacks ever, but crumbled to the pressure. Some very odd play choices made by both sides, I wonder if they paid each other too much respect and didn't keep to how they normally play?

Wanted the Steelers to win really, having spent a few days in the Burgh a couple of years ago, but the packers did a good job, even after some of the key defence players retired from the game with injuries.

The Super what?

Ah is this the incomprehensible dull and tedious game that they play over there?

After that 2 point conversion it started to get so close, really thought they were going to pull it back right at the end.

I find it's better to go to the kitchen and get something to eat than watch the terrible half time shows...

Learning the rules is irrelevant to me,

I really like it, but I also understand that it can become tedious, its not when the games are on, its the delays and length of time that turns people off.

I actually kind of like the delays...I mean in English Football it's just a bunch of nancies wandering about for 90mins. At least with the NFL they all you wee breaks and stuff...and it's just generally more interesting.

I was rooting for the Steelers, they did so well to bring it back, just a shame they fumbled a couple of times near the end. :(

I always used to think that the american football players were wusses with all their padding, then you see the way they go at each other. :surprised:

Couldn't believe the guy yesterday playing with a size 14 shoe on one foot and a 15 and a half on the other foot so it could accommodate all the bandages on the ankle injury he was playing with.

I stayed up to watch...But American Football not being presented in the UK by Gary Imlach was a bit of a shocker....

Half time show was just plain awful - I shall have nightmares about the Sweet Child o' Mine cover for weeks and anyone still using Autotune should be shot imo.

Game was good, would have liked to see Steelers "steel" it in the last play but hey-ho.

Was my first super bowl, actually scrap that , it was my first american football game I have ever watched, from what I had heard in the past it was a meh game full of showboating etc, if it is I totally missed that last night!

On the whole I thoroughly enjoyed it after I settled into the pace of the game and the many breaks, at around halfway through the second quarter I was really enjoying it and rooting for the steelers.

Coming from only watching really watching sport in the UK it is a refreshing game to watch, to me there was good sportsmanship and a lack of cheats.

Does anyone know where I can watch games from the 09 or 10 season for free as think I would enjoy watching some and maybe picking a team to support for the season start in september?

Anyway, the superbowl gets my thumbs up :thumb:

If you're serious Einholt I can hook you up with some older games... I'm a 49ers fan, and have been for a few years now.. Damnit I love the sport and used to go watch the Manchester Titans before I started working every sunday..

You'd be surprised the number of UK fans who do appreciate the game.. After all we sold out Wembley for 49ers vs Broncos last year..

That would be fantastic fella :D

I am aware there is a good following over here as one of my managers at work coaches all around the country in his spare time.
