Hey all, thought i'd share this with you all as i was as surprised as anyone to see this.

this was taken from my own system.

I thought i'd take the memory out of my media centre to see how much would actually show before i invested in vista 64bit.
so i was well surprised to see 4gb ram showing in 32bit vista. but i'm happy

So what's the full spec of said system? And have you installed any patches etc?

SP1 install may have fixed it?

Sounds like it only reports it but still cannot fully utilise it?

I know, still nice to see it showing the full 4gb though.

will probably upgrade to 64bit and see if there's much of a difference though.

be careful for 64-bit drivers before hand though :)

"This change occurs because Windows Vista with SP1 reports how much physical memory installed on your computer. All versions of Windows NT-based operating systems before Windows Vista Service SP1 report how much memory available to the operating system. This change in Windows Vista SP1 is a reporting change only."
