depends how it's set up, software or hardware?

you don't?

ask nicely, do good things and help around the house in return for more access ;)

see with most people that would work but my dad is quite mean as in he does it for fun, finds out when im on CoD in the middle of a match then cut it off and laugh

If he is doing it from his iPhone then i am guessing that he is accessing the router and disabling the WAN connection.

My suggestions are:

1. start, cmd and the type in ipconfig and find the default gateway!!
2. on your web browser type in that IP address given and you should access the router.
3. will ask for a username and password put in something like admin, admin for both username and the password.
4. If that doesn't work he might have put his own password on then in that case just reset the router as there will be a section at the back of the router itself where u can put a pin in it and it will reset the router.
5. When u have access to the router all u need to then is just change the admin password and then u lock him out then.

P.S. since he done that to u!!! please do it to him as well HAHAHA give him a taste of his own medicine and see how he likes it!!!!

following is purely my opinion ;)

tbh I would talk to your dad about it, maybe schedule a 2-hour slot of un-restricted access for CoD or whatever. Offer him an incentive like helping around the house etc.

If you work around whatever he's doing, and he finds out, it'll just make things worse in the future.

Might not be the easy option, but the best ways are rarely easy.

just my /2p ;)

/edit: god I'm so ooold :(

There are a couple of ways he could block it.... Ip address, mac address..

I assume you share a connection? Which means it would be difficult to block as your ip would be assigned when you connect... Unless it's a static ip ... My guess is he has used the mac address of your network card... Or PC name...

So change your PC name and either spoof your mac address or install another nic

Why did your father ask you uncle to do this?

Why do you think your uncle agreed to do it?

if its a modem router in one leave it alone but if not

if you was a naughty boy you might just decide to factory reset the router via the little button on the back

or wait till your internets working and flush your dads phone

nahh my dad would be seriously annoyed, as in sell my pc and xbox annoyed if i tryed to outsmart him. then he would do something even smarter and more annoying like installing a switch which cuts electricity to my room

Well then i always have another solution but it would cost u!

Get a wireless internet dongle and that way he won't know that you have got one. They are portable so they can fit in your pocket ;) you could hide it in your jeans or something :P LOL

You see sometimes i always have a moment where i come up with something useful :P tho not all the time ;) but on this occassion i think it might work..

Plus wireless dongles are not that expensive there fairly cheap nowadays ;)
