I thought he said his R1 was topping out at 193 so he had to back off? Did I see/hear it wrong?

Shove the car - that takes some serious bravery to do nearly 190mph on a road bike!!

He said he was topping out at 183... but if you watch the acceleration a few minutes in, he definately backs off at around the 140 mark so he doesn't overtake the Volvo :p

Should've got a Busa or a Blackbird tbh - they'll do about 200 and 190 respectively :thumb:

Judging by the next shot where they show a shredded tyre and pulling the metal rings out of the tyre, I'd guess its the metal bits inside the tyre..

The sparks are the reinforcing wires inside the tyres - at that point the tread had been shredded off. If they had kept going the tyres would have burst or the wheel arches would have caught fire.

In actual fact the Corvette ZR1 Engine is meant to be quite reliable and build like Brick Poop Houses too so Can take quite alot of modification
