Nice find, doubt many people would be upgrading after they've got a GX2

yeah they have its going to have a GT200 core agents a GT92

this means the 9900gtx will out do the 9800 GX2 and that also means the 9900GX2 would be a game munching animal

i think i'm going to put my build off for a bit, bomb out a load of overtime at work and get me one

I'm hoping these will provide a significant performance boost over the current nVidia offerings. It's not that I feel performance is lacking on my current card, but it's about time nVidia start showing some new stuff that isn't just a rehash of the 8-series tech.

Wishful thinking though, I don't think we'll truly see any major muscle from nVidia until ATI get their act together. No competition means nVidia can delay from releasing new tech for as long as they want.

I have my doubts as to whether we'll see the kind of boost that we saw when jumping from the GeForce 7900GTX to the 8800GTX. At the time, the two companies were neck and neck, with ATi's X1900XTX edging a bit ahead of the 7900GTX. Both firms new thaat they had to push to get the performance crown. It just turned out that nVidia's architecture came out superior to the ATi's.

ATi supposedly has a 32TMU, 96 shader, 480 stream card on the way and I suppose this is what'll go against codename GT200. Fingers crossed for competitive pricing anyway!
