hope he can put a spark back in the english game

at the moment the league is so dull

El Wayneo

Dull, did you not see Van Persie and Nasri last night?

Epic, although they couldn't score.

Would he get Lennon's place though?

Would he get Lennon's place though?

I can't see it happening. They might consider resting him for a bit and use Lennon as an impact sub.

To be fair, I don't think it's a good move for them. By getting a player like that, you know the problems that come with it if he isn't starting every week.

Shirt sales more than make up for that though eh ;)

I can't even begin to imagine the amount of people that will buy spurs shirts with his name on the back, despite the fact he will be there for a few months MAX then straight back to the USA.

If he went to West Ham you'd be saying bye to your top scorer when he left.

I was once asked if I wanted the job of designing and managing David and Victoria's new web site.
I didn't really fancy it as I was already doing something I liked and thought it would be less challenging.
I could be rich by now

How'd you work that one out?

He averages a goal every 5.62 games, 16 games left in the prem season. That makes a theoretical tally of.... 3 ;)

Before you say it, Piq is on about 6 goals this season and so is Parker :p

He's past it if you ask me, went to america too early in his career.

Might prove me wrong mind you...........

 did you even watch this week's games? It's not dull it's just that it's a more even playing field than it has been for the last 10-15 years with only the top 4 teams having the slightest chance of winning the league, things are more level and by proxy far more interesting... do you not agree?

It's definitely more interesting. Even though I support a top 4 team I love seeing the smaller teams do well. The premiership on a whole is stronger than it has ever been (in my opinion) and that can only be a good thing domestically and for European competitions.

David Beckham hasn't put spark into a football match for ages, he's just a decent back up option at best if Tottenham buy him.

Lennon is the best English right midfield player, needs a solid run to fully get back into the swing of things to get back to his best form.
Beckham should be no where near the Spurs starting XI. Somewhere like West Ham will be better for him.

I agree, lennon is lightning quick and tricky, thought he would have been a real world star by now although he still young

He's definately done.
He's massively over rated too.

Beckham? I don't think he's massively overrated, he's an OK player at the moment, very good at his peak ie late 90s/early 2000s.

For those who want to know the real reason why Becks is joining:

LA Galaxies owner just so happens to own AEG, Tottenham's bid partner in the olympic stadium bid. Clearly planning on using Becks as the face of their bid. ****'s, West Ham's stadium to Olympic park = 10 minutes. Spurs's stadium to Olympic park = well over an hour. I really can't see it happening for them.

Well he isn't joining spurs, although will be training with them for a month or so.
Didn't think it would ever come off him playing for another English side after everything he's said.

Oliver, your determination and your zeal for soccer are admirable, but we are well aware that you are posting from Pakistan, and not from the 'USA', and that you are the poster previously known as Dandy, Forbes and Hosil (or, possibly, you work in the same office).

Would I by any chance be correct in thinking that at some point in the near future your signature will mysteriously acquire a number of SEO links?

Hoping to engage him in conversation, it might be interesting to ask one of these SEO spammers about the details of their jobs. I guess it's probably not going to happen though, and the ban hammer will descend at some point.
