Not sure if this should of been in general hardware?

Anyway, I’m thinking about getting a new case but am in doubt weather it is actually worth it or not,

The case I have at the moment is a very sleek but small lian-la, its similar to This (http://www.aria.co.uk/ProductInfoComm.asp?ID=7400) one just a slight bit older.

It has served me well for what I think would be over a year now, but I just wanna be able to see inside. I cant find windows for sale (I know there were available) and the problem is i don’t know the model number. I’ve tried eBay, and i probably would be happy with a window, rather than a new case, but I’m just wondering if you guys (and gals) think its worth getting a new one.

I don’t wanna spend another £80 like before so I’m thinking something along these (http://www.aria.co.uk/productinfocomm.asp?id=19933) lines

Also if I were to get one of these is it still possible to fit a fan controller board in the 5 ¼ “ bays? As they seem to have a glass style facia over the drive bays

Help much appreciated
Lewis

I think you can get window making kits from e****r. They come with rubber edging so you can cover up the sharp edges to make it look clean.

It would save you a fair bit and you could keep your existing case.

Case should be 100% buyer's choice. And should look exactly how they like it.

So may i recommend making your own side panel? 8)

If you feel like a project?

Damnit, I posted a reply to this but o well maybe I'm just going mad

Thanks for the info, I think I have a case window kit lying around, so I feel a project coming on.

So, jigsaw or snips for cutting sheet aluminium?

Has anyone tried cutting into a lian-li case before?

Cheers

I know you said you don't want to spend another £80 on a case, but if you have a sudden windfall, and feel the need to, I have the GigaByte 3D Aurora chassis and it is well worth £80, it has great cooling, keeps my case below 30*C when under load, and lots of fancy blue lights o_O. I recommend it to you.

Also, good to see someone else from Rochdale on the forums.

ooops, i never got back to this topic.

I ended up adding a window of my own job,and with the 3 blue asaka fans are enough to give good lighting in the case.

My pc's in bits at the moment so when back together ill take some snapps and post em,

Cheers
