Alright this is my nannas computer this time. Its an Inspiron 530, Intel Quad Core 2.

Running Windows vista 32bit 3GB RAM. SP2

Problems:

recently talk talk have been a pain with there Supersecure boost, Its not been working. Finally got it to work yesterday. So We went back online with the computer. It told us there was 18 updates that was needed, so we updated it.

Came back an hour or two later, for it to have restarted having finished the updates. the New MSN 2011 wasnt working. And the Supersecure Boost had also stopped working.

I tried reinstalling the secureboost it didnt work. I restored the computer to before all the updates, and the Supersecure boost didnt work still. I reinstalled it a third time and it started to work. MSN is also working now.

So, It asked us to update again and we left it for now. Obviously its better to update, but how can i be sure that the same problems wont happen again??

Any advice??

( Best ive had so far, is throwing it out the window ;) )

Well I would not use any dodgy software from the ISP for a start

Supersecure.

Better off getting some nice free AV such as security essentials and spyware checking software

Aye Ive told her this time and time again, but shes paying for it. And she says she's had it for a while and its been fine.. I just dont see, the computer malfunctioning the way it is, fine. I can only assume its something to do with the software. I'll try and talk her into using something else. Thanks guys
