View Full Version : Whats the big deal with launcher pro?

ive read a few reviews raving about it and was thinking of using it but is their any point as ive got a htc so as such have sense ui already so was wondering is it worth getting still? or does it not add much to sense to make any noticeable difference?

I personally dislike the sense UI. It's all about tastes tbh.

well i have no problems with the sense ui at all so think will pass on it, might try it some day though

i tried going back to sense after using laucher pro for 2 weeks but just couldnt

No sense on my phone so launcher pro is a vast improvement.
custom icons on the dock, option to remove labels on main screen icons and 5 (up to 7 I think) home screens. 3 dock bars with custom dock graphic. If you buy buy there are also a load of nice widgets too

launcher pro is awesome, just like the feautures and the way its layed out better than sense imo. Worth a try Id say cos I thought sense was pretty good ...

So, does this work on a Galaxy s? I installed it but cant seem to find out how to activate it.

Press on ablank part of the screen as you would if you were adding a widget.

well when you first install it. if you have a 'home' button on the galaxy you should be prsented with an option of using your stock launch system or the luanch pro

at leats thats how it is on htc

Yeah I found when doing stuff it asks me which to default to using. I am not over impressed thus far. Slightly nicer icons but I dislike the layout of apps and screens.

take your time customsing it. i was like that at first and hated it.

I've been using Launcher Pro for a little while now and it's been very good. However, I recently updated to 2.2.1 and now if I use Launcher Pro the battery goes in ~6hours! If I swap back to the default launcher it goes back up to ~13h again.
Anyone else having this issue? Or got any ideas on how to solve it?

Edit: Should have specified 2.2.1 as the OS not Launcher Pro version. Sorry.

I noticed my battery life went down a fair bit too.

Wont be launcher pro, I went from 2.29 where i got like 8 hours, to 2.3.2 where i now get like 2 full days! Both using the same version of Launcher pro
