great pictures strawbs! if i were to get this cooler i would have to arrange the fans like yours because i dont think the ripjawz heatspreaders are as low profile as i thought :| any temp differences if you install the fans they way you have instead of 'stock' fan arrangements?
nice!!
y did u mount the fans on the heatsink like that tho? don't u get better temps with the fan at the front (near RAM) and in the centre?

That cooler is absolutely massive.. that along with the size if the case makes the motherboard look tiny.
The fan hitting the heat spreaders is a bit gutting though, no chance of mounting the cooler vertically is there? Would make good use of the beastly top case fan.

Nice picture, the Silver Arrow is amazing. And I know quite a few people complain about its compatibility with memory sticks but it's simply a task of putting the front fan to the back like you've done. In fact, you could run it passively and it'll cope with an overclocked i7!
Oh my god that RAM is sexy
Imo that air cooler looks . But hey as long as your chuffed :).
I'd definitely try mounting it vertically, with the same fan configuration as it will probably exhaust better. Push-pull is probably better vertically as push-push would place the bottom fan too close to the gpu heating things up a bit.
Either way would probably be fine but mounted the way you have it the rear fan looks a bit mismatched to exhaust all the air so some will end up going towards the top anyway.
Great pics though:thumb:

yeah million times better than my old kingston ram
shame it has hight issues with the cooler though
Just wanna thank Mr. Strawberry for this thread.
Reason? Cos I am building an identical rig with same case. Was also considering the same cooler, yet looks a little tight for space in there.
Gr8 pics mate, ;)

The Silver Arrow is no different to most high end coolers in terms of height so it'll be a good fit in most decent cases... The only thing you really need to worry about is memory clearance.
Nice build mate. Very clean build and great cable management
Very nice and impressed with the DOF in your shots!
I'm sorry but I have to ask though...
IS THIS THE BLOOD OF THE GREATER SLOTH OF THE YAARHRUDJKHHH UNDERLAIR THE GUARDIAN OF THE MESSY CHOP CHOP AXE +5 FACE SLICE?

Glad you got one of these, they are rather good are they not? I get great temps from mine when nicely overclocked.
Its a beast of a heatsink though!!
Looking for a nice heatsink myself to fit my narrow case.
Nice pics, nice kit. Aside from the blood - it's all just so... clean! :)

did you rush putting it together after you did your nails?
you want to put the fan in the middle on the tower to the front mate, that way all the air the fan pulls into itself will be thru that half of the sink because with it like that a good deal of it will come in round the sides which aint the best.
still think my ifx looks better :P just wish it had the same mount as yours as thats what let it down before i modded it :D
looks nice btw :thumb:

i wont be able to fit the side panels

What he means is that you should attach the middle fan to the tower on the right rather than the tower on the left.
