Looking for a 120mm PWM fan or a switch fan similar and including an Antec Tricool
So far I have found
Antec Tricool (Switched not PWM) 1200-2000rpm 39-79cfm (claimed)
Scythe Kama (Pwm) 300-1200rpm 12-52cfm
Arctic Cooling 120mm pwm (not sure if it will fit my TRUE)
Nexus real silent 500-2000rpm upto 76cfm
Xilence Red Wing only rpm rating seems to be 1500?!? 57cfm
any suggestions?
Can vouch for the Scythe Kama's, very quiet and push a lot of air.

Antec or Arctic for me - never had issues with either, I use the Tri-Cools (4 of them) Bear in mind at the highest settings they make too much noise and are almost inaudible, tho not very effective at the lowest.
Perhaps grab the Arctic? you'll get the benefit of the PWN, still if it don't fit in the case.......
I saw a scathing review of the Kama somewhere so I'd avoid that one.
Can I also add that the Tri-Cools are like a dyson at max speed, at low they're quiet but nothing like the Scythe at the same RPM.

I 've an Antec Atlas with a 120MM and 2 92MM tricools so I know the noise.
I have a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme which currently has an Aerocool Turbine 37Cfm @ 1000rpm on it, Would like something that can push a little more air through it, but with out making much noise when I dont need the extra cooling.
Looking at the ArctiFan I dont think that will fit easily to the TRUE. I am a fan of Artic cooling (I have a couple of freezer 64pros, an nvsilencer5 and an accellero x1) so normaly would have lent that way.
Just need to find a cheap Tricool
Zaward golf fan? Not PWM but supposedely quiet and shift a reasonable amount of air, could possibly mod it to run at 7v to make it even quieter??
Not exactly cheap though at around £9 each.

Does it come with ear plugs?
You need to gaffa tape that thing to the table to stop it moving under its own propulsion...

Well I swapped the Tricool that came with my Antec Atlas with the Aerocool turbine 2000 that I had on my TRUE,
http://lh3.google.co.uk/jim.l.halsey/R8WGOEkx2UI/AAAAAAAAAJQ/7YJ3GWhs3PA/untitled.JPG?imgmax=800
Running at max i got a nice 10 degree drop in load temps! so looks like time to buy another one to fit the true permanently
how about a nexus 120mm PWM Series

Decided to give one of these a try and ordered one!
Then I had a panic, none of the pictures, either on the Aria or the Nexus web sites show if it has open or closed corners.
Well it arrived this morning, to my releif it has open corners, no mods required to fit mt TRUE.
Installed it and enabled PWM in bios and target temperature at the lowest setting of 40 degrees.
Well with EIST enabled the fan is running around 475 RPM (CPUID Hardware Monitor).
A run of Prime 95 gives me a max of 55 degrees after about an hour, fan running at a noisey 1850 ish RPM.
gets my thumbs up.

The pics with the fans stopped is just where the shutter speed is faster than the fans
Sorry for any one on Dial up or slow broadband

Thats a quality cooling setup! What heatsink is that? did you replace the stock fan or is this an additional one?
and for when coiler's finished...

The TRUE comes with no fan, so this isn't a stock, no Coiler.
It's a Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/product_page/cpu/u120ex/product_cpu_cooler_u120ex.htm?art=MTQyMywxLCxoZW50 aHVzaWFzdA==
is it attached with paperclips?:P

As said above, it is a ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extreme. The fan is new today as per this thread  (Nexus 120mm PWM)
The three case fans (only two visible in the pics) are Aerocool Turbine 2000s bought at Aria for the bargain price of about £3 each.

I can say they are quiet as my case has good airflow and I dont need to run them at 100%.
I have one running in PWM mode on my CPU heatsink, again it rarely needs to run anywhere near full speed as I have a very effiecient CPu cooler.

whats PWN s mall pin or 4 small pin. i no its not 4 big pin.
what im saying is how come at 100 temp remains same then at 50?
PWM uses a small 4 pin connector

because at 50% (i assume you mean %) the fan is maybe moving as much as it is being allowed to (ie something is resticting the movement of air so no matter how fast the fan is turning the restriction is limiting it's performance)
I think thats what I mean?!?
just got extension cost me 3 quid
i could of got new fan for that much
****ing pople trying to rip of on price
