Hi

I'm building a render box this weekend with a max budget of £400. It won't be overclocked, it needs to be quiet and stable and run flat out for hours at a time without dying. Looking at:-

MSI P35 Neo 2 FR
Q6600
Freezer 7 Pro
2x2 gb branded PC-2 6400 (corsair is cheapest in stock)
And an OEM copy of Vista 64 premium

Will use with 7800gt or 8800 gts, 2 x WD raid edition SATA drives (raid 0), 1 x Maxline SATA drive, Audigy 2 ZS, DVD drive in a large case with low speed 120 mm fans. Powered by a Seasonic S12.

Anyone see any problems in there before I order?

TIA

Performance ram is important for rendering, as i provides higher bandwidth. Other than that, seems a good choice.

Thanks for the quick answer, slightly confused...
Got about 75+ VAT to spend for 2 x 2 gb. Am I looking for low latency CL4 at 800mhz or something at 1000mhz? Gotta go now but thanks in advance for any answers.

have a look at the patriot ram , at 800mhz itl do 4,4,4,12 or if ya want 1000+ itl do 5,5,5,15 . After various tests i have found higher mhz and slacker timings to be faster

Cant go wrong with the Patriot, one of the fastest latencies, lifetime warranty, heatsinks, did I mention it was fast?

Thanks for the recommendations, have placed order inc. Patriot ram. Off to do the backup/get drivers thing. :)
