not sure if this belongs in here or the Case section
I think the time has come to upgrade my trusty 6800Gt for something a little more powerfull.
I "only" have a 17" screen so don't need any more than 1280x1024.
My question is will either of these cards fit inside a Gigabyte 3D Aurora?
It's the original version not the 570 version.
the nVidia GeForce 9600GT in stock at aria is 23cm long, should easily fit in that case !
Well i hope it does i have the same case :D

Is the power connector on the end or the top?

Ok, answered the question for myself, its on the end!
Toms Hardware suggests that it beats the 8800Gt 256Mb on the whole.
So I shall wait for the prices to drop a little and pick one up
So its like
http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/nVidia+GeForce+9600GT+512MB+Overclocked+PCI-E+?productId=30566
vs
http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/PCI-E/nVIDIA+GeForce+8+Series/nVidia+GeForce+8800GT+512MB+PCI-E+?productId=29148
Its only £14 more for th 512 8800gt then based on toms hardware I would spend the extra ££
go for the 8800

when I look at the price difference (512Mb vs 512Mb) I think I will go for the 8800GT
Where is the power connector on an 8800GT?
I have the 8800GTX and there are two power connectors on the end of the card.

Ah ok, as far as I can see it is also about 23cms in lenght so will just about fit in my case.
hurry up Nvidia and launch a 9800Gt so the 8800Gts drop a bit more.
Mind you I could always go crossfire on my P35
