several months ago, 1 of the 2 GPUs on my GF7950GX2 started rapidly climbing in temperature. inspection revealed the inside fan for this GPU wasn't spinning, so i RMA the card, and sent it back
i have receaved an email stating that Aria had receaved my graphics card, but, about 5 months have passed and i have heard nothing since then. I'm worried.
Can you post your RMA number so one of the Aria staff can look into it for you.
Why have you left it 5 months without checking on it?!

RMA199314
would have posted it, but i was at work, without access to it
i reported the RMA on the 14th of september 2007, and sent it off a a day or 2 later
they receaved it on the 21st of september 2007
i have emailed their costomer services several times since then
i would have used the phone, but the problem is, i've been working, and didn't think to do so during christmas vacation. i work 8:30 - 5 weekdays. i would have called from work, but my phone can only dial 6 digit numbers externally, completly dies if i press a 7th.

bad news 1, the dead fan caused GPU damage
good news 1, i get a credit note for about 2/3 of what i payed for the card, since the cards are so hard to come by
bad new 2, no more quad SLI (have another almost identicle card, not that Quad GPU SLi was that good to begin with)
good news 2, i can get me a free GF8800GTS, or something like that as a replacement
since i was pretty much planning to seperate the 2 SLi'd cards into 2 seperate machines anyway, this is a good end result, since GF8800GTS > GF7950GX2
Heh - if you've got a 7950GX2 going spare, I'll take it off your hands ;)
