View Full Version : My gameplay vids
I've not been on the forums recently, been wrapped up in my MMO of choice, Eve-Online. (http://www.eve-online.com/)
I have also been teaching myself how to use Sony Vegas Pro 8, which is a video editing suite, combining the two I have made these:

and

All footage is ingame and apart from some crossfading I haven't changed a thing.
Most of the ships you see are the biggest in the game, the Capital Dreadnaughts and Carriers, look closely and you will see the little support fleet pilots dogfighting inbetween.
You'll want your sunglasses for this, lots of bright flashy lights!
Please share your game videos!
cool.
Sony Vegas is very easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Yeah its quite intuitive, I encourage everyone to download it, record some of your games [I use Fraps] and post em up!
that looks very complex! whats the learning curve on it - months?
depends what you want to learn to do.
Somthing what Alex has done can be learned with an 30mins.
But more complex things can take HOURS/Days.
Like im going to London to my mates house in the summer who does Video Editing for a job and has done work for Tv Ads, BBC, P&O, and lots of others and recently got a job doing the new Becks Beer Advertisment. So im looking forward going down there to learn some new cool stuff as im getting into Video Editing now.

i meant eve online itself! :O
oh lol. Doesnt have to be about that. I'm going to do it on BF2

The learning curve on Sony Vegas Pro is a very shallow incline, you barely notice it. I look forward to seeing other people gameplay vids, I'm interested to see how you guys play games.
Eve-Online's learning curve was described by PC-Gamer as "So steep you could hang a picture on it and call it a wall".
Thats when I got interested!
Actually thats not totally true anymore, there are a lot of ingame tutorials now and other players will help. It's easy if you just take on small chunks of the game. Eve-Online is so huge that if you try and do everything at once, you will be overwhelmed.
I've been playing for 3 years and I still haven't done everything there is to do, but you can learn the basics within a couple of months.
I think the most important thing to point out in eve is that week old players can be as influential as the years old veterans.
2 Week Trial (https://secure.eve-online.com/ft/?aid=102321&bid=&nogreet=1) Find me ingame.
