The :censored: you pile of :censored: boardroom :censored:
Seriously, we actually start having reasonably good/bad games and so they think they'll just sack the manager.
If we, the fans, don't like our manager we'll make ourselves heard - go :censored: yourself Mr. Ashley.

I find myself asking: is it really a surprise or shock, given past events ?
Wha... when... how.
He's done so much for that club, ever since Mike Ashley stalled on contract talks it was only a matter of time until Chris Hughton slipped up and was sacked. I never really understand how football club owners understand football, or maybe they dont.

Chris was a fantastic manager :| look where he brought them? every team has a bad spell and its not as if they are bottom on the league that sacking is a bit bang out of order.

Why are you so suprised?
1) They refused to renew his contract
2) Gave him hardly any funds
3) Ashley has done this before
He is a good manager and it really is unfair, but Ashley is an utter ****.
See you in the champsionship :)

Harsh, 11th in the prem for a team that has just gained promotion is not a reason to sack a manager. Maybe they have someone lined up. If they start drifting towards the bottom of the league now there will only be one man getting the blame from the Toon Army.
What do you think of Dennis Wise as the manager

Pretty much this.
It wasn't out of the blue, there have been rumblings for a while, Ashley was waiting for a bad run before he pulled the trigger.
No surprise at all. Whoever takes over is a nutter quite frankly.
Alan Pardew is next wtf Chris Hughton was doing a great job with what he has got i dont get football some times
How they think they're going to improve under Alan Pardew is beyond me. Why didn't they look at Martin O'Neill or Martin Jol?
Seriously, if I was a Newcastle supporter i'd be more worried now than I was 2 weeks ago under Hughton.
I am a toon supporter and today's events have robbed me of any hope for Newcastle in the forseeable future.
To sack Chris(bear in mind he was doing a great job with no money and no long term contract) and bring in Pardew, who in almost every football fans eyes is a joke, shows that this fat pie eating owner of ours has no interest in the club he owns.
He has relegated us again and this time we wont come back up.
Carroll, Taylor, Tiote and others will be sold in January/end of season and replaced with 'kids',. just to line Ashley's pockets.
Asset stripping anyone???
This is a dark day in the history of Newcastle United and one that, in my opinion, will seal the clubs fate forever.

The 5 year contract is strange.
Firstly, fair enough, it offers some kind of security for Pardew and suggestions of wanting stability.
However, Ashley wants to sell the club, that contract isn't going to be a good selling point.
