Urgent!!!

I was literally just about to click the buy button on everything on my new build when a friend informed me the MOBO and graphics card ive chosen might not be fully compatible:

Foxconn P35A 775
and
nVidia GeForce 8600 GT

Need to get this sorted ASAP so a speedy response would be much appreciate.

my mobo said that it wasnt comaptable with the geforce 8800 gts but it works fine for me.

You are in a tough place there, get the 3850 and that will see you right, more powerful too.

I checked their website, theres a long list of Bios' availble back from June 07, There no mention of that card and and fixes they have made, I'd asume its compatible But if you want to be sure then go for the 3850 there dirt cheap and outperform the 8600 every time

The motherboard is PCI-express, the gfx card is PCI-express?

Thats all that matters. As long as gfx card isn't AGP there won't be a problem.

Although if your thinking about playing games on high settings i wouldn't bother with the 8600.
