7% faster at stock speeds, but stock speed is 100Mhz faster than my q6600's stock speed.
Be interesting to see what the difference would be with both at 2.4Ghz.
As for over clocking my Q6600 will do 3Ghz at stock voltage. 3.2Ghz at a small rise, 3.6Ghz at 1.45V. Although I find 3Ghz plenty fast enough.
For my use (media conversion), a q9300 would be quicker as it has sse4.1... Bur I am very happy with my q6600.
I have just had ********** build me a PC with the Q9300 on a ASUS P5E/3 MB and with a ASUS 9800gtx card and the damn thing won't recognise the CPU. It's still in the shop. Even with the latest bios update, it still won't recognise it. SO, no new pc for me just now.

its the multi the cripples these chips, shame realy but im sure they will bring a 9500 to market on a x9 that will pwn.
same as the 7xxx series.
