I've got one of those..it has 4gb RAM etc..but of course 32 bit win 7 seems to recognise only 3gb...is there anything that can tell me whether I can install the 64 bit version of win7?

I would think so,

Download CPU-Z, and on the first page, it should say if your processor is 64bit compatible. This is when 'EM64T' is in the 'Instuctions' box/section on the first tab.

The CPU is an - Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 / 2.1 GHz ( Dual-Core )

So yes it will happily run Win 7 64bit

I've also googled that laptop and it could have a number of different processors, i also found that the T6600 are also used in this laptop, better to check than to be in a state of annoyance,

All the T6*** are 64 bit CPU's as are all the T5***
