Just got home with my newly delivered system all full of joy.

Q6600, Asus P5k-VM, 4GB Patriot Ram, 320gb HDD.

Plugged it all in, USB Mouse, Keyboard, monitor. switched on.

Lots of whirring, nothing on the screen.

Running Vista.

What should I do?

Double check all connections and check everything else is in properly

Try it with only one stick of ram in. Ur mobo might not be giving 4GB enough juice.

Also, whats the graphics card?

Cheers for the help chaps. Unfortunately, the GFX card, 8800 GT has two completely new sockets to me, and I plugged my monitor into the |VGA slot on the MOBO, rather than use the adaptor which I didn't know I had.

Panic over. Now I can go "oooooh" at vista and my new pc.
