View Full Version : Anyone good with 3D rendering?

Im looking for an animated clan logo for my YT videos but i've never used anyting 3D related before and i wouldnt know what to do, nor does my pocket stretch to paying £1000 on software i'll use once or twice.

Please post if your able and willing to help and i'll specify in more detail below.


Idea:

3D Red circle with the EllR (Elizabeth Regina II) text on it, either a brief glisten of light that shines from one end to the other (like the machinima logo) or it slowly spins in 3D and stops back at the start, then the red circle turns black.

Anyone able to lend a hand?

Its a low res version of a logo i've done for my footy club :)

yeah, that would be spot on mate! - ideally a 1280 x 720 version would be required :D

and if it can be accomidated, a transformation from red to black when it has stopped spinning (2 second delay?)

Shouldn't be a problem, i'll have a go tomorrow.

So you want that exact logo as above, just with the red to black background instead?? Gold lettering etc? :)

your help is much appreciated mate, if you could upload the file (mp4/avi etc) to youtube (if you have an account) i can download it form there, if not - megaupload or equivalent will be just as good.

How are you finding it in general since the makeover?

I tried it a while ago and the UI was just everywhere.

Still using 2.49, had a play with the 2.5 betas, but they haven't got all the features i use yet, so waiting for the full versions.

Just had another look at the site, i see there's a newer vesion of the beta now so will investigate. As you can see from my new and improved sig, i'm quite skilled!! Or maybe not! :)

For my 3D work, I only have cubes and flat planes. :lol: (After Effects)

I did my old sig with blender, but didn't realise the file size was too big so had to remove it earlier!

I just play around with it really, some animation, some not. Wherever i can use it i do! Just enjoy making stuff with it :)

Not long a go i did a wallpaper for my self http://forums.aria.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3857&page=40 using blender (bottom of the page)

looks awesome mate,

i`ll whip up some sfx to match and add it to my b.ops videos from now on - i`ll post some of the vieos in future so you can see your handy work at its best :D

I have no sound but it looks good.
