What would be a good board for this around 40-50 quid ?

What would be a good board for this around 40-50 quid ?

What to do? Also what form factor?

Hmm, small form factor would be better. HTPC, basic gaming, spare rig for dorter.

There's a nice MSI 770 board I'd suggest, I used it once with this CPU.

If you want to use it as a HTPC then ideally you need either 780G, 785G or 880G chipset to help with HD Decoding. They will also do the job for some very basic gaming. Any model with the chipset will do for this, though DDR3 is cheaper than DDR2 now so get one that supports that. Unfortunately Aria doesn't have any stock that hits that price point with HD Decoding (all Nvidia / 740/760/770).

The alternative if not overclocking is to go for the cheapest board you can and add a suitable GPU for your needs. This will give you a cheap graphics boost, but is probably only worthwhile if you go one up from the real basic cards e.g. the XFX 4650 and EVGA GT 430 are good at the £50 end of the market.

So, maybe this board (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Motherboards/AMD+AM3+%28800+Chipset%29/MSI+880GMA-E45+AMD%C2%AE+880G+%28Socket+AM3%29+DDR3+PCI-Express+Micro-ATX+Motherboard+?productId=40761) for 75 quid would be best of both worlds, wouldnt need a GPU aswell ?

Hmm, this is looking a bit more realistic now

Unless you need the USB3 / SATA 6 then this may be a better fit:

Will be suitable for the likes of the Sims as well as a really good and reasonably low power media machine :)

Thanks for the help dude but in the end i figured for the same money i could get something a lot better 2nd hand, just running the risk of no warranty which is fine by me.
