I can get either phone with the same deal, 600minutes, unlimited texts, 500meg internet & 25 photo messages for the price of £22.50 a month. I was set on the galaxy but is not in stock for a week or so and can get the HD on Thursday. Which one would you take?

Desire HD.
Looks like a really good phone.
I love the OLED screen on my SGS. It's a fast phone once you've got it sorted. I'm running the official Samsung Froyo without a lagfix or anything and it's great.
The only downside to owning an SGS is people often think it's an iphone! :mad:
I'm not in a position to vote though as I've never tried or even seen the Desire HD. You shouldn't vote unless you've used both! Otherwise it'll just be a tally of how many people own that phone or similar.
I think you'd be very happy with either phone tbh :)
Spec-wise I think the Desire HD has the edge though.

Hmm.. Best I can get out of Orange for my upgrade is £18/month for 300mins, unlim texts and 500mb internet, and £35 for a Desire (non HD) or £50 more for the Galaxy S...!

Aaron go through to retentions, they are giving me this deal. Normal upgrades cannot do it.
That was through retentions... Upgrades were saying the best I could get was £27/month and £100 for the phone! :lol: :lol:
Apparently, I got 'such' a good deal on my previous contract, the computer wont let me have another deal like that for this contract.... Oh well... :lol:

Love the Galaxy S and you only have to go through some of my threads to see what i think of the Galaxy.
Looking at the specs of the Desire HD I would not have been disapointed if i'd have got that myself instead. But Id try and have a play with both in a shop and see which you prefer.

Having moved from an iPhone 3g to a desire hd I can say without hesitation that the hd is by far the better phone, the screen is nicer/better, it is sooooo much faster and more responsive, the keyboard is better, especially if you use the double letter buttons option. Plus you can sell the iPhone for about £200 to offset the slightly higher monthly fee.
Get the hd you won't be disappointed, I certainly am not.
