Is it ok with 2 sticks? If so i'd get the system working with 2 sticks, updated etc THEN go to 4 sticks.

If possible can you increase the voltage for the RAM just a tad. Mine wouldnt boot properly until I did this.

I increased from 1.8 to 1.9 volts for mine to work. Be careful when you make any change.

No gfx cards have been using DDR3 for some time, it won't make any difference.

Have you tried the above suggestions re voltage and 2 sticks?

hi there
i have only got 2 sticks in at the moment it wont even come on with 4, also i did a windows memory diagnostics test and it found hardware faults but it dont tell you what it is.

Very simple, run memtest with only 1 stick at a time, determine which sticks are faulty and return ! :)

Try this take out 2 Gigs, and install the following update: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929777/ (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929777/)

Boot with the 2 gigs still installed. Then shut down and put the other two back in.
