Crysis - Anyone Been Playing It?

Because you need an UBER pc just to get playable frame rates at decent settings. Also after the hype it was one major let down, another 12 hour to complete, or whatever very short anyway, FPS pos game.

I get okay playability on medium with my X1950 PRO, I wouldnt be happy playing it till the release of the R700 dual chips.

yea hardly anyone is playing Crysis :( theres only ever 5 servers that are FULL ! and around 15 other servers that have people in but not full. Hardly anyone seems to be able to play :(

shame its a good game aswell.

I find that its too realistic for its own good. You die with only a few shots and people get annoyed with it. Unlike CS where you can take a few hits and carry on.

Anyone completed single player? Im stuck in some floating caves or somthing.:S

one of my coursemates played through it in 6 hours. I'm assuming he was bored with the realism and just played it feeling quite numb

Yeah. I left it for 2 weeks, Came back and found the exit straight away! Now stuck again though and run out of ammo for those stupid swimming things!:mad:

lol im not even bothered about single player now, im also stuk in the caves, but iv given up and just owning everyone in multiplayer

Im currently in the bizzare machine thing where im floating around and i keep getting lost! Im gettin more & more annoyed with the bloody thing! Also my Nvidia 7600GT keeps struggling with it....bah!

I got Crysis for christmas and finished it boxing day. Somewhat short, but that's kind of a relief, because it ran like **** on my rig:

Sappire x1950pro
AMD Athlon64 3200+
1gb PC3200 Crucial RAM (2x512mb)

...as you can see my gfx card is up to the job but performance is bottlenecked by my aging CPU. I get a great framerate with everything on Medium, 1280x1024, no AA, and "Ultra high" motion blur, but when a fight starts, my framerate crawls to a halt pretty much. I'm guessing this is because my CPU can't handle the uber physics, what with bullets flying about hitting foliage and all sorts.

But the good news is Crysis is part 1 of a planned trilogy so by the time 2 and 3 are out I should have a better setup :D

Did you have it on super easy!? Its taking me days. No im not **** but i have it on hard so its a challenge to kill alot of people! Ive died quite a few times.

I played it on Normal difficulty. But I think the low framerate was somehow an advantage to me (.....don't ask me how I figured that one out o_O)
